Privacy Policy
ScoreContent scores your content using Next.js running in your browser. Your writing is not sent to our servers. This policy covers the minimal data we do collect and your full rights.
Who We Are
ScoreContent is an AI-powered content evaluation platform at scorecontent.com. We are the Data Controller for any personal information processed under this policy.

What We Collect
Content you write: Scored using Next.js running in your browser. We do not transmit your writing to our servers and we do not store it.
Contact inquiries: Your name and email address, collected solely to respond to your message.
IP addresses & server logs: Like all websites, our hosting infrastructure automatically logs IP addresses and standard HTTP request metadata (browser type, referring URL, timestamp) for security and operational purposes. Logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days.
Usage analytics: We may use Google Analytics to collect anonymised, aggregated page-view data. This data does not include the content you enter into the editor. When active, Google Analytics places first-party cookies in your browser (see Section 4).
Advertising: We use Google Ads to promote ScoreContent. Google Ads may set cookies and collect data for ad measurement and conversion tracking purposes (see Section 4).
Search Console: We may use Google Search Console to monitor search-engine performance and indexing. Search Console does not collect personal data from visitors.
Legal Basis (GDPR Art. 6)
Legitimate interests (6(1)(f)): Anonymised usage analytics to improve our service; server security logging. Performance of contract (6(1)(b)): Delivering the ScoreContent tool. Consent (6(1)(a)): Contact inquiries and optional communications.
Cookies & Storage
Functional storage: We use localStorage in your browser to remember editor drafts and user preferences (e.g. theme). This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.
Analytics cookies: If Google Analytics is active, it places first-party cookies (_ga, _gid) to distinguish unique visitors and measure page performance. These cookies do not contain your writing content. You may opt out at any time via your browser settings or the Google Analytics Opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising cookies: We use Google Ads for promotional purposes. Google may set cookies such as _gcl_au to measure ad conversions and campaign performance. These cookies do not contain your writing content. You may opt out via Google's Ad Settings at adssettings.google.com or by using the Google Analytics Opt-out browser add-on.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We do not share your writing content with any third party.
Cloudflare (CDN & security): We use Cloudflare as our content delivery network and DDoS-protection provider. Cloudflare processes IP addresses and HTTP request headers as traffic passes through its network. Cloudflare acts as a data processor under a Data Processing Agreement. See Cloudflare's privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Google Analytics: If active, Google processes anonymised usage data on our behalf under Google's own terms. See policies.google.com/privacy.
Google Ads: We use Google Ads for advertising. Google may process IP addresses and cookie data for ad delivery and conversion measurement. See policies.google.com/privacy.
Google Search Console: Used to monitor search-engine indexing. No visitor personal data is shared with or through Search Console.
No content sharing: None of the above providers have access to the content you write in the editor.
International Transfers
Cloudflare operates a global network; IP addresses and request metadata may be processed on servers outside the EEA. Cloudflare provides adequate safeguards via Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
Google (Analytics, Search Console) is based in the United States. Transfers are covered by SCCs approved by the European Commission.
All other transfers outside the EEA rely on SCCs or adequacy decisions.
Retention
Server & IP logs: up to 30 days, then deleted automatically. Contact inquiries: retained up to 24 months then deleted. Analytics data: aggregated and anonymised; retained per Google Analytics default settings (up to 26 months). Your writing content: we hold none — it never reaches our servers.
Security
TLS encryption (provided in part by Cloudflare), strict access controls, and regular security assessments. Our privacy-by-design architecture eliminates content-exposure risk at the source: your writing is scored locally and never leaves your browser.
Children's Privacy
ScoreContent is not directed at persons under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data, contact info@scorecontent.com immediately.
Policy Changes
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes are communicated by updating the effective date and posting a notice on the platform. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
